Two indoor stops for a flexible half-day
Ho Chi Minh City’s wet season is broadly May to November. Build some flexibility for showers into your plans, while checking the day’s weather and traffic rather than assuming it will rain continuously.
This half-day centres on coffee and a SOL visit: start at a café with indoor seating, then take a car to SOL, or reverse the order around your confirmed appointment. Travel and getting in and out of the car still take time.
Coffee option: Hùng Vương Plaza
For coffee, food or browsing in one stop, consider Hùng Vương Plaza. Its official directory currently lists Highlands Coffee, Starbucks and The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf; choose a suitable indoor seating area.
The mall is at 126 Hồng Bàng, Chợ Lớn, Hồ Chí Minh, in the familiar former District 5 area. It is a different address from SOL at 801 Trần Hưng Đạo. Plan a car transfer rather than treating them as the same building or a short walking route.
Check the mall’s official dining directory, then confirm opening and available seating before setting out. A favourite café near your hotel can also replace this stop to reduce backtracking.
Two orders to fit your appointment

An hour for coffee is an itinerary example, not a café time limit. Allow transport according to live navigation, car waiting time and rain. Tell SOL when you must leave if you have a show, dinner or flight afterwards.
Keep the half-day for these two stops. If the rain eases and time remains, decide then whether to add a walk rather than filling every gap in advance.
Choose head spa or body massage
For washing and drying, head and facial care and grooming, choose Vietnamese head spa. One therapist costs 700,000 VND for 90 minutes or 850,000 VND for 120 minutes. The longer head spa adds conditioning, scalp exfoliation and hot stone related care.
For shoulders, back, legs and arms, explore oil and hot stone body massage: one therapist costs 850,000 VND for 90 minutes or 1,050,000 VND for 120 minutes. Book the categories separately; the head spa’s massage elements are not an entire body massage package.

Rainy-day transport, luggage and bookings
Use SOL’s full address and check the pickup point and store entrance. In heavy rain, let the driver use a suitable route based on current conditions. Contact customer service through your original booking channel early if arrival plans change.
In-store customers may ask about temporary luggage storage depending on bag size. Send the number and approximate dimensions for confirmation, especially if travelling from your hotel with bags.
Store hours are 10:00–22:00, with service times subject to bookings. Ask about changes or cancellations for your specific booking. The ChungTa motorbike collaboration has its own rain arrangements, which are separate from head spa and massage.
